We Launched a Virtual Comms Platform to Work Remotely

By tapping into the ever evolving debate between remote and in-office work, we successfully introduced Katmai as the unique solution to sparking human connection in a remote world.

Overview

Following two years of stealth building a new way to work remotely, Katmai was ready for its “Hello World” moment. However, because of the waning media interest in the metaverse and competitor announcements, we needed an additional edge to break through.

Our Solution

We put the platform front and center, pairing it with timely funding news to make a splash. We conducted embargo outreach targeting key media covering workforce trends to invite them into Katmai to experience the platform for themselves. CEO Erik Braund led them through various use-cases that showed how real human interaction is possible with remote work.

Results

With the goal to secure quality in-depth coverage, we landed briefings with Forbes, Venture Beat, and Fast Company which resulted in coverage. We also secured mentions in Fortune’s Term Sheet, Axios Pro Rata, and an additional briefing with Crain’s New York Business as a result of our day-of outreach.
