Built momentum for Genie AI through proactive newsjacking, thought leadership and a coordinated transatlantic Series A announcement, establishing the brand as an authoritative presence in legal tech.

Overview

Genie AI was preparing to scale after securing its first VC funding. They needed to raise awareness with investors, prospective customers and the wider legal industry across both the UK and US. Ahead of the formal appointment, we identified an opportunity to immediately insert the brand into a major news moment, then followed with a coordinated Series A announcement, and ongoing thought leadership to build sustained visibility.

Our Approach

We began with rapid newsjacking during the CrowdStrike outage. We drafted two targeted statements: a CTO quote for national business and tech press on outdated legal industry systems, and a data-led calculation of lost billable hours for legal media. This combination enabled Genie to cut through and offer timely, authoritative analysis.

We then collaborated with the team on a high impact Series A launch. We refined the narrative to highlight Genie’s technology, ambition and market impact, secured a two hour exclusivity window with Business Insider, and executed targeted embargoed pitching to top tier legal, tech and business media in the UK and US.
